Bonus Episode: Whole 30/Day 9

Bonus time! Warning: the bonus episodes sprinkled (mmmmm sprinkles) throughout our Whole 30 will not be fancy and pretty. They are iPhone voice memos strung together throughout our days. If you’re a new listener you might want to listen to a regular episode of our random ramblings. We are off on a Whole 30 journey together and wanted to document the darn thing because some of you are doing it with us, and, well, we want you to know you are not alone. Let us know how you’re doing by tagging us on social! And if you have a topic or question you want us to address on the Whole 30 bonus episodes send an email to: girlsgonewod@gmail.com

First — you have know idea how much you are helping so many people with just moving past the stigma’s of food and eating in general. Second – THANK YOU for addressing the fact that just because I am a mom and ‘created two beings’ (I had twins) – does not mean that I can’t want or expect more from my body and my shape. Yes, I get that having a baby changes your body, and it is an amazing process — but that is not an excuse to just let go of my goals and my expectations of my body!!
In listening to these bonus episodes – I have stopped tracking and just eating to fuel my body. It is so weird how that once I pulled out those ‘numbers to hit’, I am not nearly as hungry and I don’t anxiously await my next meal. Plus I am losing that feeling that Joy described of being over aware of how much food I get in a day and not wanting to run out and be hungry at the end of the day. It is so freeing! I plan on actually hitting the Whole30 when I get back from AT for Guards in June!
Thank you again for all that you are doing by just sharing your experience with all of us!
