The BIRTHFIT community is fond of saying that “postpartum lasts forever,” and even though it’s tempting to want to race to return to your old routine, Lindsey talks about the importance of focusing on recovery and being realistic about everything your body went through during the labor and delivery process. From the immediate recovery period and the first few weeks at home, to getting through the first year and beyond–including a discussion about postpartum mood disorders–we discuss setting up a support network, prioritizing your recovery, learning to re-engage your core, and evolving into your new identity as a mom.
